Job Overview
Mobius Materials is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Account Executive to focus exclusively on securing high-quality, sell-side inventory and building our supply base. This is a pure hunter role responsible for outbound prospecting and pipeline generation. You will be on the front lines, engaging with key decision-makers in Procurement, Operations, and Finance to convince them of Mobius’s superior value in offloading their excess and obsolete (E&O) electronic components. Success in this role is defined by consistently hitting contact, SQL, and opportunity creation goals to build and convert a robust pipeline of new sellers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct consistent strategic outbound efforts (phone, email, LinkedIn) to target and secure new seller accounts, focusing on OEMs and Contract Manufacturers (CMOs).
- Meet and exceed weekly and monthly targets for new contacts and Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) to ensure a steady pipeline.
- Own the deal cycle from initial contact through qualification, negotiation, and closure.
- Apply the established qualification framework to quickly vet potential sellers based on their inventory size, product type, and urgency.
- Educate sellers on current market dynamics and help them set realistic pricing expectations to maximize the speed of inventory offload and value recovery.
- Clearly articulate the financial benefits of using Mobius
- Log all activities, communications, and deal progression within the CRM
- Work with Operations and Product teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience once a seller is qualified and ready to launch bids.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly metrics reviews to maintain clear accountability for pipeline goals and progress.
Key Requirements
- 2+ years of success as a B2B Sales Executive, Account Executive, or similar role, with a strong track record of pipeline creation and closing.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence mid-to-senior-level contacts in Procurement, Finance, or Operations.
- Experience in or deep familiarity with the electronic components, supply chain, manufacturing technology, or marketplace industry is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and navigate environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on being direct, concise, and managing expectations effectively.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and modern sales prospecting tools.
