Our New Referral Program: Earn Up to $1,000 in Credit for Every Company You Refer
Many of our customers found us through someone they trust: a colleague, a peer at another manufacturer, or someone they met at a trade show.
Our new referral program rewards those introductions. Refer a company that is new to Mobius, and both companies earn Mobius platform credit once that company completes its first transaction.
We built the program with input from customers who already send companies our way. They told us a referral reward should reflect the size of the business it brings in, so the reward grows with the first transaction.
How the referral program works
Each referral carries two rewards, one for each company.
The company you refer receives a Welcome Credit of up to $250 in Mobius platform credit, applied to its first transaction.
Your company earns credit based on the size of that first transaction: $250 at $1,000 or more, $500 at $10,000 or more, and $1,000 at $20,000 or more. For a referred seller, we use the purchase order value of its first sale. For a referred buyer, we use the sales order value of its first order. In both cases we exclude taxes, shipping, and similar charges.
All rewards are Mobius platform credit issued to the company account. We never pay cash, and we never pay individuals.
When your credit is earned
Your company earns its reward when the company you referred completes its first transaction on Mobius and we receive payment in full, not when they sign up. They have six months from the date you submit the referral to complete that transaction. We issue your credit within 30 days after we receive payment.
Credit expires 12 months after we issue it. Apply it toward purchases on Mobius. If you sell on Mobius, you can instead take the reward as a reduction to our fees on your next sale, as long as you tell us before that sale settles.
Who to refer
Start with the manufacturers you know who hold excess or obsolete components: an OEM left with parts after a design change, or a contract manufacturer carrying stock from a canceled program. Those are the companies Mobius was built for.
Referring a company that buys components earns the same rewards.
The company you refer must be new to Mobius. That means it can't be a current or former customer, already in conversation with our team, or an affiliate of your company. If more than one company refers the same business, the first complete referral counts. There is no cap on how many companies you can refer.
The referral program is separate from Invitations, which brings a buyer you know to a specific auction or listing. A referral introduces a company to Mobius as a whole.
How to refer a company
Submit a referral on our referral page with your name, email, and company, plus the name, email, and company of your contact. Add a short note on how we could help them, then confirm that you are authorized to refer on behalf of your company and agree to the program terms.
Our team takes it from there. We reach out to your contact directly and handle everything from the first conversation through the first transaction.
Our referral program is live
The companies most likely to trust Mobius are the ones that hear about us from you. The program makes that introduction worth up to $1,000 in credit to your company and up to $250 to theirs.
